For seven generations the P.Princi family have mastered the butcher
trade. In the late 1940’s, Pasquale Princi left Delianuova, Italy and set
out to Australia in search of a better life for his family. He aborded the SS
Toscana and docked in Fremantle, Western Australia on July 25, 1949.
In 1958, our first store was opened on Newcastle Street, Perth. After
20 years, our second store was opened in Market Street, Fremantle.
This was the flagship store that Pasquale established his name, with a
reputation that has lived on and will continue to live on for generations.
Mariantonia Princi gave birth to Joe Princi in 1963 and by the ripe age of
7, Joe Princi was walking, talking and cutting like his father in store. By
18 years old, Joe had taken completed control of the store and Pasquale
was able to pass the baton on.
Fast forward 20 years, two stores, and 2 generations, the P.Princi family
continues to uphold a reputation as one of Western Australia’s most
