Our plain goat pieces are expertly prepared from locally sourced goats raised in Western Australia’s South West. Naturally lean, tender, and packed with flavour, these versatile cuts are perfect for slow cooking, stews, curries, or grilling. With no added seasoning, you're free to flavour them your way, ideal for home cooks and chefs alike looking to add depth to traditional and modern dishes.

How to Cook Goat (Plain Pieces)

Heat 1–2 tbsp olive oil in a heavy-based pot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Add 1–2 chopped onions and cook until softened. Brown 1 kg of goat pieces on all sides to lock in flavour.
Stir in minced garlic (2–3 cloves), grated ginger (optional), and spices of your choice:
Mediterranean: rosemary, oregano, lemon zest
Indian: turmeric, cumin, coriander, garam masala
Caribbean: thyme, allspice, chili
Pour in enough stock, water, or crushed tomatoes to just cover the meat.
Simmer gently on low heat for 2.5–3 hours on the stovetop (or transfer to a slow cooker for 6–8 hours on low / 4–5 hours on high) until the meat is tender. For oven braising, cover in a roasting dish and cook at 160 °C for 2.5–3 hours.
Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve with rice, couscous, flatbread, or roasted vegetables for a hearty meal.
